Payment Options
Medicare
If you are 65 and older and have Medicare, you may be eligible for home health care services to be covered at 100%. Medicare requires the following for that to happen:
- You must be under a doctor’s care and the doctor must prescribe home care.
- You must need intermittent skilled care – meaning – you need a nurse, a physical therapist, a speech therapist, or continued services by an occupational therapist to see you at home a few times a week, not constantly.
- You must be considered “homebound.”
According to Medicare, to be homebound means:
- Leaving your home isn’t recommended because of your condition.
- Your condition keeps you from leaving home without help (such as using a wheelchair or walker, needing special transportation, or getting help from another person).
- Leaving home takes a considerable and taxing effort.
“A person may leave home for medical treatment or short, infrequent absences for non-medical reasons, such as attending religious services. You can still get home health care if you attend adult day care, but you would get the home care services in your home.”

Private Insurance
Many private insurance plans offer coverage for home care. Eligibility requirements vary depending on the insurance company. Please feel free to contact us to learn more information about what type of home care coverage you may be eligible for.
Medical Assistance
Medical Assistance (MA) provides health care coverage to those who fall below a certain level set by the state. You apply for MA through your local county human services office. To find out more information or to apply for MA, click here.

Private Pay
If you would like to utilize Divine Home Care services rather than recovering in a facility or living outside of your own home but are not covered under any of the previous options, you may pay privately for services. Please feel free to contact us and ask more questions about this option.
